wedmethere (“we”, “us”) helps couples plan a wedding in Greece. You tell us the wedding you want, and we match you with a local planner and a team of businesses who are free on your date. This page explains what we do with your information. If anything is unclear, write to us at info@wedmethere.co.uk.
What we collect
Only what you give us, and only to help with your wedding:
- Your wedding brief: what you write in the chat, and your answers (date, place, guests, budget, style, the services you want and their details).
- Your contact details: your names, email, and, if you give them, your phone number and a good time to call.
- A call with us: the time you choose.
- Messages through our forms: the waitlist for other places, and the form for wedding businesses (name, email, optional phone, message).
We don't use advertising or analytics cookies or trackers on this site. Visitors don't get cookies from us; the only cookies are for our own team's sign-in to the admin area.
Why we use it
- To understand your wedding and suggest businesses that match it and are free on your date.
- To contact you about your options, arrange a call, and plan your wedding with you.
- To reply to your messages and, if you join the waitlist, to tell you when we launch in the place you asked about.
- To improve how wedmethere works, from what couples ask for (for example, which places are most wanted).
Our legal basis is your consent (you tick a box before we use your brief) and, once you ask for our help, what we need to do to provide it. You can withdraw your consent at any time.
Who sees it
- The businesses you choose. When you pick a team, we tell each business the details of your wedding that it needs, such as the date, the place, guest numbers and style. We share your contact details with a business only when that is needed to arrange your wedding, and we'll tell you first.
- Our service providers, the companies that provide our hosting, database, email and AI processing. They handle data on our behalf and may only use it for that. Some are based outside the UK and the EU, for example in the United States; where that happens, they rely on recognised safeguards for transfers.
- We don't sell your information and we don't use it for advertising.
How we read your messages
To understand what you write in the chat (for example, turning “about eighty guests in September” into your brief), we use an automated AI service provided by a specialist company. It processes your messages only to produce a reply and, under its business terms, does not use them to train its models. Please don't put anything sensitive in the chat that you don't want us to read.
Google Calendar (our own calendar, not yours)
Couples never sign in with Google, and we never see a couple's Google data. Our own team connects its Google Calendar to wedmethere so that the times you can book a call with us are free in our diary, and so a booked call is added to it. For that, wedmethere asks permission to see when our calendar is busy and to create events on it. When you book a call, the event we create contains your names, email and phone (if given), and a short summary of your brief, so we are ready for the call.
wedmethere's use and transfer to any other app of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. We use that access only for the call booking described here, and we don't use it for advertising or share it with anyone else.
How long we keep it
We keep your brief and contact details while we are helping you plan your wedding, and until you ask us to delete them. Messages from the waitlist are kept until we have told you about the place you asked for, or until you ask us to delete them. Write to info@wedmethere.co.uk and we will delete your information and ask the businesses we told about your wedding to do the same.
Your rights
You can ask us at any time to show you what we hold about you, correct it, delete it, limit how we use it, or send it to you in a usable format, and you can withdraw your consent. Write to info@wedmethere.co.uk. If you are not happy with how we handle your information, you can complain to your data protection authority (in the UK, the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk).
Security
Your brief is kept behind a private link that only you have, and our admin area needs a sign-in. Access to your information is limited to the people who need it to help you. No online service is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable care to protect what you give us.
Changes
If we change how we use your information, we will update this page and its date. For anything big, we will tell you directly.
